Forget about adding vinegar or salt to the water! This simple method is all you need to make peeling boiled eggs a breeze.

1. Bring Eggs to Room Temperature

Leave your eggs at room temperature for 20–30 minutes before boiling. This helps them adjust to the heat more evenly, preventing cracks and making them easier to peel later.

2. Boil Water First

Fill a pot with enough water to fully submerge the eggs. Bring it to a rolling boil.

3. Add the Eggs

Carefully place the eggs into the boiling water using a spoon.

4. Cook Time

If you want it soft-boiled, boil it in boiling water for 7-8 minutes.

If you want it hard-boiled, boil it in boiling water for 11–12 minutes.

5. Cool the Eggs

Transfer the eggs to a bowl of cold water. Let them cool just enough to handle—there’s no need to leave them in the water for too long.

6. Crack and Peel

Gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to create cracks, then start peeling. Voilà! The shell should slide off effortlessly.
